Welcome Tech-letes to St. Martin's Tech-lympics! You are about to embark on an adventure of epic proportions where you will prove your knowledge and potentially earn Bronze, Silver, Gold, and even, Platinum medals along with some other fun rewards.
Rules
Just as sporting events have rules that must be followed, there are also rules for Tech-lympics:
You must complete the MLA Formatting in Google Docs in order to complete Level 1 and become a Qualifier and begin your quest for Bronze, Silver, Gold, & Platinum Medals.
You earn eXPerience Points (XP) for completing Tech-lympic events. An event is completed and XP is rewarded if:
You have created a tutorial for the event and it is complete and demonstrates/tells anyone who views/reads it how to complete the actions required. If you are creating a tutorial for a multi-step process and not using Screencast-O-Matic, you will need multiple screenshots to explain it completely and correctly. If the tutorial contains incomplete or incorrect information or if a tutorial can not be understood due to bad sound or poor writing or lack of images, XP will not be earned! Partial XP may be awarded at the sole discretion of the Tech-lympics judge and is rarely awarded.
You have created a Google Site post for the event which includes your tutorial and an explanation of what application (app) you used to complete the tutorial. If you used Screencast-O-Matic to complete the tutorial, you must include a text link the Screencast-O-Matic website. The only time you are not required to have an explanation of the app that you used is if you are including the entire tutorial just as a Google Site post.
Your Google Site post must be turned in by completing theTech-lympics Event Completion Form for the event. You must be signed in to fill out this form.
